Welcome to warmer weather.  What…not warm enough.  I agree.  If you are like me, you would rather be sitting on a white sand beach with your favorite beverage without a care in the World?  The first step is to book a Cruise, and the second step, is to leave the cell phone turned off except of course, for reporting to all your friends how great it is where you are.
Speaking of Alaska, I know that doesn’t have anything to do with white sand and snorkeling, but one last reminder,  if you aren’t doing anything next Tuesday Jan 19, come by the FOP Lodge and hear all about Alaska.
This will be the last Alaska night we do this winter.  The photos on display alone are worth the trip. The 2010 Summer Alaska cruises are just about sold out, and the prices and availability are changing almost daily, but the deals are fantastic.  Look for our advertisement in this issue of TSI.
Spring Cruise Specials
We have some great last minute deals on cruises during the spring breaks.  For Coffee County, it’s April 12-16, and for Tullahoma its March 15-26.  The prices vary; based on how many days you cruise.  If you are a first time cruiser, you might like to combine a 3 or 4 day cruise with a visit to the Orlando area. There is so much to do there, and Port Canaveral’s Cruise Port is less than an hour away.
I booked a couple this week on just such a cruise. The shorter cruises are usually much cheaper, and you get the  experience and there are several choices of fun in the sun locations.  Carnival has a 4 day in early May to Nassau for only $229 pp plus tax and fees.
As I mentioned last week, there are lots of Mexico and Caribbean Cruise deals available. Again I certainly recommend COSTA and MSC Italian Cruise Lines as kids always go free on their ships. The spring is a great time to go to the Caribbean. There are no storms, and the break from the cold weather makes the rest of the winter fly by. MSC and Costa have several cruises to great locations departing every Saturday in Feb March and April. Some of this year’s are also “Theme Cruises”.
They have a “Baseball Greats” Cruise on March 6th, an “Oldies Music” (Big Band) Cruise, and a “Latin Dance” Cruise. The cost for an inside Stateroom begins around $ 399 on most of these specials. The itineraries vary.  We have numerous cruises from Princess and Carnival during the same time period for around the same price, both in the Caribbean and the Mexican Riviera.
Disney Orlando:  Don’t forget Disney for Spring Break.  Disney has all kinds of promotions going for their theme parks, hotels and cruise combinations. If you are active duty or retired MILITARY, Disney has a wonderful thank you gift for your service. Just show you Military ID and receive a 4 day park hopper pass for you and up to 5 family members and guests for $99 plus tax each. That’s a HUGE savings.
The best part is you can combine your Disney visit with a Disney Cruise out of Port Canaveral.  Disney Cruises are incredible. There’s nothing like them. But be advised, they seldom discount their cruises because the ships are small and they have no problem filling them.  If you can’t afford the Disney Cruise, book with Carnival who also sails out of Port Canaveral.
WANNA STAY CHEAP and enjoy DISNEY?  If you are willing to listen to a Time Share presentation, I can put you in the Westmark or the Liki Tiki Resort right at Disney for 4 days and three nights for $99 to $149 depending on dates of your stay. They are great, Sande and I have a time shares there. Their pools are very kid friendly and they are virtually at the Disney gate.  they can get you tickets to everything! If you want to check it out, call 1(800) 375-7828 and give them our reference number 3400286034.
Remember, we get dozens of promotional e-mails daily, and it’s impossible to list them here. Please give us a call and let us work with you on a vacation you will enjoy and remember.  R.
