Sheriff Steve Graves said the decision was made by the county’s budget & finance office, which currently oversees the commissary, and which has opened bids to members of the Blind Vendors Association, which operates commissaries in several counties in the state. Graves said that when bids are closed, they will be presented to the Coffee County Commission’s law enforcement committee for examination. If a vendor is approved by the committee, it will be passed on to the full commission for approval.
