Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret McClure Jarrell, age 82 of Manchester wereconducted at 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Horace Lee Jacobs officiating. Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the Jarrell family was from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, December 1 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Jarrell passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Medical Center of Manchester.
Mrs. Jarrell was born in Kingston, Tennessee the daughter of the late Rufus and Ada Moore McClure. She was retired from the Manchester City School system and was a member of the Summitville Church of Christ. Mrs. Jarrell enjoyed sewing, golf and participating in and watching all sports. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Jarrell and by a brother, Don McClure. Her survivors are:

Funeral services for Joe Frank Hill “Papa”, 73 of Manchester will be conducted Monday, November 30 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Albert Watters officiating services. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 29 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Hill passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009.
Mr. Hill was born November 22, 1936 in Franklin County to the late Empherim and Martha Hill. In earlier years, he drove a truck for CB Ragland from which he was retired. He was a member of Helping Hands Ministry. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Robert Hill; and a sister, Ann Wood.
Her survivors include his loving wife Ollie Lue Medley Hill; three daughters, Robin Meek and fiancé Scott Rouse, Heather Hill, and Ruth Arnold all of Manchester; two brothers, Ephrin Hill Jr. of Hillsboro, Preston Hill of Winchester; four sisters, Mary Stevens and Lila May Wilcox both of Manchester, Hilda Brinkley and Rose Haddon both of Winchester; four grandchildren, Lindsay Hill, Hannah Meek, Blake Arnold, and Tiffany Rouse all of Manchester; numerous children who knew him as “Papa” from various years.

Funeral services for Sarah Roberta Duke, 83 of Manchester were conducted Sunday, November 29 at 2:30 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Joe Sissom officiating services. Burial followed at Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 28 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ms. Duke passed away Friday, November 27, 2009.
Ms. Duke was born April 13, 1926 in Cannon County to the late Joe C. and Claudie Duke. In earlier years, she worked as an employee at Colonial Factory. She was a member of Simons Chapel Methodist Church in Cannon County, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers Alton Duke, Pharris Duke, Hilton Duke, Clayborne Duke, Morgan Duke and Thurston Duke; sisters, Carmon Drennen, and Leonia Spry.
Her survivors include two brothers, Wiley (Wanda) Duke, Wyndell (Syble) Duke both of Manchester; sisters, Jewel Christian, Glera Presley both of Manchester, Norene Holt of Woodbury, and Lera Whittemore of Southgate, Michigan.

Funeral services for Mr. Emmett Leighton Goodman, age 76 were conducted Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM from Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Williams officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Goodman passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro after an extended illness.
Mr. Goodman was born November 22, 1933 in Grundy County, Tennessee the son of the late Clifford Michael Goodman and Hazel Shetters Goodman. He retired from AEDC after 25 years as a machinist during which time he was involved with the Lunar Lander for the Apollo Mission. He enjoyed collecting Civil War artifacts and was a member of the New Union Church of Christ. He was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine Warren Goodman who passed away in 1999 and a grandson, Thomas Hunter Goodman and a granddaughter, Kelly Taylor Goodman.
Survivors include two children, Mike Goodman and wife, Sharon of Corona, CA and Michelle Daniels and friend, Tim Duke of Manchester, TN; three special grandchildren, Michael Goodman and wife, Melissa, Justin Goodman and Isaac Daniels; brothers, Neil Goodman and wife, Gwen of Galveston, TX and Reedy Goodman and wife, Wanda of Houston, TX and a sister, Jo Ann Gunther of Sugarland, TX and several nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Mr. Nunley was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan the son of the late Thomas John Nunley and Jonella Smith Nunley. He was a retired Machinist with the Baker-Hughes Company. Mrs. Livingston was born in South Carolina, the daughter of the late Roy and Margie Barnett. In earlier years, she loved working with children and enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach and the ocean. She was a resident of United Regional Nursing Home for the past six years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jackson Livingston and a son, Tony Lamar Hall. Survivors include one son, Gary Roger (Kat) Livingston of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Gail Marie Inzer of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
