Gladys Vickers BellFuneral services for Mrs. Gladys Vickers Bell, age 89 of Manchester were conducted Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 12: 00 Noon at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Chad Fletcher and Mr. Jarrett Eschenfelder officiating. Burial followed at Farrar Hill Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Bell passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Murfreesboro, TN.
She was born September 18, 1920 in Plano, Texas the daughter of the late James Horace Vickers and Pervie Crosslin Vickers. In earlier years, she was employed with PCA and Eden Corporation as a seamstress and also enjoyed many hobbies to include sewing, crocheting, playing cards and ceramics. In 1934, Mrs. Bell joined Farrar Hill Baptist Church where she remained devoted member for over 75 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Bell, who passed away February 14, 1993; a sister, Dean Frizzell and two brothers, Melvin Vickers and Edgar Vickers.
Survivors include three children, Jo Nell Landrum and husband Don of Murfreesboro, TN; Carolyn Jones of Manchester and James Wendell Bell of Manchester; five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, Donnie Landrum and wife, Dodie, Bryan Jones and wife, Trina, Craig Jones and fiancée Amy, Kerri Jones, Denise Landrum and husband, Jeremy; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Robinson, Shae Murray and Wyatt Jones and four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Claude Vickers of Ooltewah, TN, Dickie Vickers and wife, Carolyn of Manchester, Danny Vickers and wife, Joan of Murfreesboro and sisters, Lois Frizzell, Lura Green both of Manchester and Naomi Morrison and husband, Herbert also of Manchester, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Glenn Holland
Glenn “Sonny” “ Pops” Holland, age 66, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 26, 1943 in Ohio, the son of the late Glenn Holland, Sr. and Alta Marie Holland. He was an over the road truck driver for many years and enjoyed antique car shows and collecting model cars. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Alta Holland, two sisters, Gwyn and Judy and his step-mother, Bert.
Survivors include three children, Beverly Holland, Michael Dynak and fiancée Joan of Wilkes-Barr, PA and Danielle Dynak of Tullahoma, TN; three grandchildren, Brooklinn Anita, Jo-Anna and Destin; former spouse, Julie Potoeski and brothers and sisters, John, Larry, Dorothy, Kathleen, Peggy, Roxanne, Cathy, Glen “Butch” and Sharon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
The family has chosen cremation and will have a Celebration of Life Service to be announced at a later date.

Basil Rex Fletcher, Sr.
Funeral services for Basil Rex Fletcher, Sr., age 86, were conducted at 11 AM, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. David Fletcher, Gordon Matthews and Ted Kell officiating. Burial followed in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Fletcher family was from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the funeral home. Mr. Fletcher passed from this life on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Fletcher was born on September 3, 1923 near Summitville, TN, the son of the late Vernon (Jack) Fletcher and Ruth Adella Freeze Fletcher. He married Helen Virginia Fletcher on January 7, 1950 in Winchester, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his brother John Thomas “Buster” Fletcher, sister-in-law Betty J. Murphree Fletcher, and brother-in-law Clyde Esteen Swanger. He is survived by his wife Helen, his sister Martha Ida Swanger of Manchester, TN, sister Nelda Twitchell and husband Richard Stuart "Dick" Twitchell of Chattanooga, TN; sons Basil Rex Fletcher, Jr. and wife Portia Snodgrass Fletcher of Orlando, FL; David W. Fletcher and wife Rhonda Eddings Fletcher of Manchester, TN; daughter Deborah Faye Baugh and husband John of Lebanon, TN. The surviving grandchildren include Seth David Fletcher, Autumn Maree Potter, Adam Ian Fletcher, Jared Michael Fletcher and Amber Michele Fletcher. Other survivors include two great grandchildren, four nieces, five nephews and many great nephews and great nieces. One great aunt, Lucille Fletcher and one great uncle Jay W. Freeze & wife Lura Mae Freeze still survive.
Basil served in the Army and was involved in Pacific theatre duty in New Guinea during WWII. After the war he began a career with A. J. Tanner Plumbing & Heating as a clerk/estimator and later promoted to general manager. He also started in the ministry and served as pulpit minister at Centertown Church of Christ from 1956 to 1968 and later served at Forest Mills church of Christ until his retirement. He also worked at R. N. Wilson Contracting as a Mechanical Estimator/PM from 1969 to his retirement in 2003.
Basil was involved with his children in sports and music. Basil was a long time
President of the Manchester Little League, Babe Ruth League and Little League
district director. Basil was a lifetime American Legion member and former Chaplin. He was a former Manchester Alderman and a former elder at Forrest Mills church of Christ. He was an avid gardener, rook player, Bible teacher, read many books, husband of 60 years and friend to all.

Evelyn Jen Lee
Evelyn Jean Lee, age 71 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Medical Center of Manchester. She was born on July 17, 1938 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to her parents, the late Albert C. Price and Ruby Elaine Allen Price. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle J. Lee of Manchester, Tennessee; son, Michael E. Lee of River Rouge, Michigan; five grandchildren, Raquel Cerroni, Brett Caylor, Brandon Lee, Jennifer Lee and Katie Dietz; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Wakefield of Manchester; and a host of other relatives and friends.
