Almeda Stooksbury
Funeral services for Mrs. Almeda Stooksbury, age 88, of Manchester were conducted at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 31 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Parks officiating.  Burial followed in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Stooksbury passed away Friday, May 28 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Mrs. Stooksbury was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late R.D. and Lillie Mae Armstrong Blanton.  In earlier years, she was a seamstress at PCA and a cook in the school system.  She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Von Stooksbury; a son, Larry Neal Stone; and a grandchild, Lori Ann Davis.  Mrs. Stooksbury is survived by one daughter, Jeannette (Charles) Bell of Manchester; one sister, Alma Blanton Downs of Tullahoma; four grandchildren, David Bell, Lisa Rust, Robin Burks, and Jeff Seymore; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; several cousins; and very special friends, Sandra Eddings and Fay Mooneyham.

Virginia Lee George
Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Lee George, age 63 of Manchester were conducted Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Concord Cemetery with Pastor Tim Totty officiating. 
Mrs. George passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness.  She was born March 23, 1947 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles Harmon and Hattie Ford Harmon.  She was a homemaker and was previously employed with Wal-Mart in Manchester.  Mrs. George was known for her artistic talents.  She enjoyed designing jewelry with beads and also creating stained glass treasures for family and friends.  She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.  She was a member of The Peoples Church in Tullahoma.  Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, James Shelton.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Sherman A. “Skip” George of Manchester; three children, Malissa Waring and husband, Kevin; Shane George and wife, Sherry; and Stoney George all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Brandy Shelton of Palm Bay, Florida, Stefan Waring, Wyatt Waring and Lola George all of Manchester; sisters, Jackie Burton and Dianna Rogers of Kokomo, IN and brother, Charles Harmon also of Kokomo, IN.
