The time for the Spring football game and booster club fundraiser has been moved to Friday, March 5 at 3:30 pm at Carden-Jarrel Field in Manchester.

The AAU District Wrestling event was held at the Tullahoma High School Gym Saturday with nearly 300 wrestlers from K-12 participating from the Middle Tennessee region. Tullahoma had the most medals ever by their group with seven first placers, eight second placers, and seven third placers for a total of 22 awards.

First week of spring football practice in the books

The Coffee County Red Raider football team endured bitter cold and even snow in its first week of spring football practice, but coach Eddie Nunley says the team showed improvement through the week.
“We are still looking for lineman, I think we have improved some this week even though the weather hasn't cooperated. We have some good ones to chose from we just have to get them to pop up and know what they are supposed to do,” said Nunley.
The coach also praised his backfield while saying the ultimate goal is to be ready for the 2010 season.

Givens; ‘CHS better team in future’

The Coffee County boys basketball team did not have the season it would have liked, first year head coach Scott Givens is the first to admit that. Givens does feel positive about the future of the program, however, while not shying away from talking about the disappointment of a 4-22 season.
“Certainly disappointing when it comes down to the wins and losses. We felt like we had plenty of opportunities to improve on our record and we came up short.”
“We had some other younger guys Hunter Byers, Jared Ziegler, Jonathan Henegar and Kyle Kirby all gave us some good minutes this year. We played a lot of young players this year and I hope that will help us next year,” said Givens. “Our one district win was against the eventual district champion but we just didn’t play consistent enough through the season and that is what we will work for as a team to be more consistent next year.”
