For the second year in a row a former Coffee County Red Raider played for team Tennessee in the annual Tennessee versus Georgia All Star game.
Former Red Raider lineman Lance Campbell helped lead the way to a 17-0 win for team Tennessee, this state’s third in a row.
The game was played at Baylor’s Heywood Stadium last Saturday with South Pittsburgh’s Terrell Robinson leading team Tennessee.
Robinson, a UTC commit, was the leading rusher for Tennessee with 57 yards on 13 carries and he completed eight passes for another 83 yards to earn Game MVP honors.
Boyd-Buchanan’s Grant Reynolds served as head coach for team Tennessee.
Team Tennessee held a 3-0 lead at the half after swapping punts with Georgia for most of the first half. Tennessee's John Long connected on a 42-yarder with 1:23 showing before halftime to give his team the 3-0 lead.
East Ridge’s Dominique King intercepted a Georgia pass at the 29 yard line in the fourth quarter. Twelve plays and 62 yards later, Brainerd's Jackie Reeves bulled his way into the end zone from the 1 to extend the lead.
Tennessee finished with 206 yards total offense, including 123 on the ground and 83 passing. Georgia was held to 94 yards in total offense and just five first downs.
